The Wilde Lake Band is based out of Wilde Lake High School in Columbia, MD. Established in 1971, the band department consists of wind ensemble, marching, concert and jazz bands and percussion ensemble. These well-known bands have received numerous prizes and awards for their performances. The most recent of which was the Fiesta-val Grand Champion Bands award received in 2011 & 2005 in Myrtle Beach, SC; 2009 & 2003 in Virginia Beach, VA; and 2007 in Orlando, FL. Like us on Facebook.

These award winning bands are under the direction of Mr. Lewis Dutrow.

At the Howard County Band Assessments, our students performed very well:

The Concert Band received an Excellent rating

The Wind Ensemble received a Superior rating

Both ensembles received a Superior rating in Sight Reading, and the judges comments were favorable for both groups.

Congratulations goes out to our fine musicians!
